Santa's Jolly Journal

Back at the North Pole!

Well, we made it! Another Christmas has come and gone—and in good fashion I might add! This holiday season was my busiest yet, and the same goes for my friends at the Museum Center. So many people were eager to see the trains in their new location, and also get an extra dose of holiday cheer! From the Duke Energy Holiday Trains, to the Holiday Variety Troupe and Holiday Harmonies performances, to HoliDate and the North Pole Pajama Party, Museum Center was such a great place to celebrate the holidays this season!

My Final Week

Time sure does fly when you’re having holly jolly holiday fun!  Can you believe that it’s my last week at Cincinnati Museum Center? I’ve had the most wonderful time seeing all of the children who have stopped by. But don’t worry, if you haven’t visited me yet, there’s still time. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thursday, until 8 p.m. on Friday, and will be closing at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve so that I can pack my sleigh up for the big night. Remember, Duke Energy vouchers must be used by December 24. One more reason to get here soon!

Celebrations of the Season

Ho, ho, ho…I can’t even believe it is just around the corner. That’s right, Christmas is quickly approaching. And there are still so many holiday events happening at the Museum Center. Last Sunday was the first ever HoliDate and Pancakes with Santa at Museum Center. It was part of Grandparent’s Weekend where parents and grandparents were invited out to have a date night with the children in their lives. Mrs.

The Joy of the Holidays

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la, la la la la! I’ve sure been enjoying all the holiday music and performances at Museum Center. The Holiday Harmonies series kicked off last weekend, and there have been live holiday-themed performances every day in the Rotunda! So far we’ve had the NKU Music Preparatory group, Art of Ballroom Dance, Flying Cloud Vintage Dance, Pettisville Jazz Band and many others stop by to share their holiday spirit. This week’s performances include Arthur Murray Dance Studio, College of Mount St.

Greetings from Museum Center!

Phew…what an eventful weekend!  I finally made my grand arrival to Cincinnati Museum Center last Friday. Because the sleigh is getting upgraded for my big night on December 24, I decided to take a beautiful horse drawn carriage right to the front doors of the Museum Center. It was a jolly good time!  Mrs. Claus, Holly Claus and Caboose the Elf all joined me for my arrival. We met up with the Witte family, who won the “Flip the Switch” contest.  Those Witte children were so fun! They helped me flip the switch to light the ENORMOUS tree in the Rotunda.

Dust Off My Chair, Here I Come!

It’s finally here—the week I make my grand arrival to Cincinnati Museum Center! My elves have been scurrying around Holiday Junction featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains preparing for my arrival. They’ve been dusting off my chair and setting up the camera to take some great holiday photos. I hope you’re ready!

Packing My Bags for Holiday Fun!

I was chatting with Caboose the Elf over milk and cookies the other day and he told me that things have been very busy lately at Cincinnati Museum Center. Caboose has been busy spreading the holiday cheer as I prepare for my big arrival next week. I can barely contain my excitement, and I’ve already begun packing my bags! I’ll arrive around 11:30 a.m. on November 25 and one lucky kid will get onstage to help me light the tree in the Rotunda.

The Holidays Have Begun!

Ho, ho, ho…the holiday season has officially kicked off at Cincinnati Museum Center! From what I hear, it was an exciting opening weekend for Holiday Junction featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains, with lots of enthusiastic visitors eager to see the Duke trains in their new home. The trains have long since been a popular tradition in the Greater Cincinnati area, and now will be preserved for generations to come as part of Museum Center’s permanent collection.

A Jolly Hello!

Ho, ho, ho…I can’t believe it is already November! Boy, how time flies when you’re having fun building lots of toys for little girls and boys! Mrs. Claus told me that I needed to get with the times and start blogging. So, I put on my dancing shoes and she gave me a funny look. Then she explained that “blogging” was not a type of dance, but a great way for me to share “what is happening with me,” with all of you!
