Bringing the world to Cincinnati Museum Center … and Cincinnati Museum Center to the world!

Not sure what distance learning is or what videoconferencing is all about? Check out this video clip from CBS News.

See what Jason Dennison, Director of the Distance Learning Program, had to say about the relationship between content providers and teachers at the 2007 CILC Symposium.

2008 Teachers' Choice Award

Honorable Mention
In 2008, Cincinnati Museum Center's Distance Learning Program was awarded with an Honorable Mention as one of the top Multidisciplinary Museums and Organizations in the country. This award is sponsored by Berrien County Intermediate School District, Michigan in partnership with Polycom, Inc.

Through interactive videoconferencing, teachers and students can share the resources of Cincinnati Museum Center and the historic Union Terminal without ever leaving the classroom. Multidisciplinary social studies and science programs are aligned to meet state and national content standards and are designed to fit into any curriculum. All programs are delivered live by Museum educators.

We can discuss how our programs may fit into your existing curriculum and address the needs of you and your students.

Distance Learning Program Availability

Programs are available Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Evening and weekend programs are possible dependent upon staff availability. Most lessons last from 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the length of your class periods. Please register at least four weeks in advance to increase the likelihood of securing your date and time of choice.
