Learning LabsEnhance your students' visit to Cincinnati Museum Center with the inclusion of a Learning Lab relating to one of our exhibits. Our programs feature hands-on activities, games, dynamic group processes and cooperative learning exercises that are rooted in object-based learning and curriculum standards that will help prepare students for proficiency tests. Cincinnati Museum Center's Learning Labs are designed with teaching standards in mind. Please visit the link below to download a PDF of the teaching standards for Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Note: details found below DO NOT apply to large capacity learning labs. Learning Labs are available on Mondays through Fridays at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (Tuesdays through Fridays in the Duke Energy Children's Museum) to groups of 15 to 30 students (10 to 25 students for early childhood programs), and must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance of the desired date. (Learning Labs can be scheduled at alternate times as scheduling and staff allows.) Scheduling as far in advance as possible will make it easier to accommodate you at your convenience.
Learning Lab Rates:Early Childhood: $2 per student NOTE: All adults must pay admission, including teachers,staff, chaperones and bus drivers.
PoliciesAdvance reservations are required for all groups. Changing your scheduled activities when you check in will incur cancellation penalties! Call if your plans change. Book as far in advance as possible. Reservations for museum programs close TWO (2) weeks out. Learning Labs require a minimum number of 15 students, or $45, and have a maximum of 30 students. Early Childhood Learning Labs require a minimum of 10 students, or $20, and have a maximum of 25 students. Confirmation materials are mailed several weeks prior to your visit. Payment or an actual Purchase Order is required in advance or upon check-in.
