Scheduling Your Field Trip

Hours

Museums are available to school groups from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as long as reservations are made at least two weeks in advance. Museums are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

School groups may visit the Duke Energy Children’s Museum Tuesday through Friday only.

The OMNIMAX® school-only showings are at 9, 10, 11 a.m. and noon. Schools can also schedule into public shows at 1, 2 and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Learning Labs are available at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except programs held in the Duke Energy Children’s Museum which are available Tuesday through Friday. Learning Labs can be scheduled at alternate times as scheduling and staff allow.

School Group Rates

Single museum ticket: $4.25 per person

OMNIMAX ticket: $4.25 per person

Two-way ticket: $6.25 per person

Three-way ticket: $8.25 per person

Learning Labs  

Early Childhood: $2 per student

First Grade and above: $3 per student

Note: All adults must pay admission including teachers, staff, chaperones and bus drivers. Members visiting with school groups may use Cincinnati Museum Center memberships for admission to museums and exhibits included at their member level. The group coordinator must present their valid membership card, a photocopy or a school admission pass when checking in. Passes may be obtained from the Membership office by calling (513) 287-7041 at least 10 days in advance of the visit. Members pay for the OMNIMAX at the single attraction rate of $4.25. Learning Labs are priced per student regardless of membership status.

Required Scheduling Information

• Complete school information including address and phone number
• Name of teacher in charge
• Grade level of students
• Preferred date (and a few possible alternates)
• Time of arrival and departure
• Number of students, teachers and chaperones (including bus drivers if they are visiting with the group)
• Desired activities, including specific Learning Labs
• Lunch plans
• Special student needs or characteristics

Cancellations

Call (513) 287-7021 to cancel a scheduled visit and/or program. A message may be left if the office is not open, however, you must contact the office during normal hours to confirm your cancellation and receive your cancellation number. Except for inclement weather, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours (two business days) in advance to avoid service fees ($25 for each museum visit, Learning Lab or Distance Learning program and 50 percent of the OMNIMAX total).
