The Opportunity
Cincinnati Museum Center is proud to present Eulett Center at the Richard and Lucile Durrell Edge of Appalachia Preserve System (EOA) in Adams County, Ohio. Eulett Center is a multi-purpose meeting and educational facility designed to meet the needs of diverse audiences, local business and community group meetings, regional conferences, training and educational opportunities. On a bluff overlooking the exceptionally scenic Ohio Brush Creek Valley, Eulett Center provides outstanding vistas of the wooded hills and valley from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the multi-purpose room and outside covered decks. Located on a privately-owned nature preserve, Eulett Center is unequaled as one of Ohio’s most scenic and unique meeting and education destinations.

About The Preserve
At 13,000 acres, the Richard and Lucile Durrell Edge of Appalachia Preserve System is one of the largest privately-owned and protected natural areas in Ohio. Known as “The Edge” to many, the preserve is jointly owned and operated by Cincinnati Museum Center and the Ohio Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. What began with the purchase of 42 acres of Lynx Prairie in 1959 has grown into a system of natural sanctuaries straddling the western flank of the Appalachian Escarpment. The Preserve encompasses wooded hills, coves, hollows, streams, prairies and harbors, the largest collection of rare plants and animals of any protected area in Ohio. Care and conservation of EOA’s globally significant ecological areas, and education and outreach to the local and regional communities, are at the heart of the Preserve’s goals. To this end, Preserve staff offices are located at the center to further these goals and to assist the center’s visitors.

About the Center’s Namesake
Eulett Center is named for Charles Eulett, a naturalist and teacher who spent his life roaming the hills and prairies of what is now known as “The Edge”. He taught generations of Adams County residents and students to understand and respect the lands he so loved. As one of southern Ohio’s early conservationists, he exemplifies the principles that guide the work at the Edge of Appalachia Preserve.

Serving the Community & Region
Eulett Center is designed as a community resource center for business and community meetings, conferences and training sessions. The center is also available for organized group educational activities such as classes and workshops.
