Rumors of cities rich in gold spurred both the exploration and conquest of Mexico by the Spanish (Cortez). During the 300 years of Spanish rule, mining of gold and tin was a national goal. Tin is used in several types of Mexican art. Join us to create your own Tin Art and learn about the impact gold and tin had on Mexico’s history.
