RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Working with the Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations team, the Assistant Development Officer will:
- Ensure implementation of government and foundation grants and appropriations upon receipt by facilitating project management and appropriate gift recording and invoicing.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with all Federal, State laws, regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of grants/contracts including timely submission of reports, forms, payment requests and other requirements.
- Coordinate grants management efforts between institutional advancement, museum(s), public relations, marketing and finance departments.
- Serve on cross-functional project teams to ensure that the terms and conditions of contracts are complied with, as well as to gain a broader understanding of the project for enhanced communication with funders.
- Track progress of activities towards grant conditions and terms, with a specific emphasis on program outcome measurement and evaluation.
- Maintain and update, as needed, all necessary documentation for grant management.
- Develop reports,letters, and other communications and all necessary filings to ensure grant compliance.
- Serve on internal project committees to develop and review grant budgets, evaluation, and outcome measurement as proposals are developed.
- Assist staff with situations related to the funded project as it relates to grant contract requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: |
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.. Emphasis in Business Administration, finance, Accounting, or Nonprofit Management preferred. Excellent organizational skills, research abilities and attention to detail required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with accounting software orthe Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred. Skilled in written and interpersonal communication. Ability to provide leadership, facilitate project management and direction in a diverse working environment.
