POSITION:

DAY CAMP INSTRUCTOR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver Museum Center Day Camp programming from provided lesson plans.  Responsible for child safety; interact with, educate, and entertain group of 15 children between the ages of 7-12.  Instructors will follow prescribed session plans and lead students in crafts and other activities based on weekly themes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma, one to two years of college preferred with course work in Early Childhood Development, Montessori or Education.  Experience leading children’s activities in a museum, camp or classroom setting required.  Ideal candidate must be outgoing, articulate, patient, kind, organized and flexible.  Teaching/working with special needs children a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Position is full time during the summer months 40 hours/week. Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
