RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Main responsibility in the Children’s Museum is to insure that all museum guests have a satisfying, educational, enjoyable and safe experience. Daily work schedule would include:
- Provide programming support in needed committees, including exhibit tie-ins, work on special projects as needed, assist in exhibit maintenance as scheduled by Floor Operations Manager, assist and mentor volunteers as needed.
- This position will spend approximately 60% of the time on the museum floor. Floor duties include greeting and orienting visitors, providing security and cleanliness for the exhibits, and presenting demonstrations and interpretations to visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS: |
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred. Those working towards a degree in education or related field also considered. At least two years experience working with children, volunteers, and visitor/customer relations in museums or related fields required. Must be team player, excellent organization and communication skills
|
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: |
Part time position, approximately 20 hours per week. Saturdays 9 to 5:30, Sundays 10 - 6:30, plus an additional 4 hours per week.
