POSITION:

VISITOR SERVICES SPECIALIST (part-time)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work one of three positions as assigned by the Manager on Duty:

Ticket Taker – Taking tickets, checking and counting members, assisting visitors with special needs.  Providing correct information and directions.

Information Specialist – Answering questions and providing correct and up-to-date information about OMNIMAX films, exhibits, admissions and daily activities.  Selling memberships, handling WILL CALL, stroller and wheelchair rentals.  Answering incoming calls and providing accurate information.

Cashier – Selling admissions to OMNIMAX Theater, Museums and Special Exhibits/Programs using a computerized ticketing system. Collecting visitor information.  Balancing money drawer at the end of each shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent. Candidate must have excellent verbal communication skills, customer service and cashiering experience. Knowledge of ticketing systems is a plus. Strong computer skills preferred. Qualified applicant must have an outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills. Applicant must have the ability to perform well in a high-pressure situation and should be physically able to assist in evacuating visitors in the event of an emergency. Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Part-time flexible days, some evening, weekends & holidays, approximately 14-30 hours per week. Premium wages paid on most holidays (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).
