POSITION: Corporate Relations Internship


DEPARTMENT: Institutional Advancement

DEADLINE: Friday, March 26, 2010 before 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Develop plan to expand and build an experience for Business Partners Weekend
        Description: Business Partners Weekend is an annual event where Cincinnati Museum Center offers its corporate donors who donate more than $1,000 – Business Partners – the opportunity for all of their employees and their families to come into the Museum free-of-charge.

      Project Detail: Given a budget of approximately $5,000 to spend, the goal of the plan will be two-fold (1) To make Business Partners Weekend into an “experience” for the employees and their families and build goodwill towards the institution and their corporation’s involvement, and (2) To increase the up-sell potential when employees arrive in the Museum and entice them to become members.

Specific Actions include (but not limited to):

  • Develop a theme for the weekend
  • Develop day-of layout and sequencing of activities
  • Recommend marketing & promotional materials
  • Investigate and call on vendors; negotiate pricing
  • Brainstorm for potential in-kind donors
  • Coordinate internally to reserve space, tables, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate college student working towards degree in marketing/public relations
• Creative, passionate personality
• Detail oriented
• Hard-working
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to multi-task
