POSITION:  Membership Internship      

  

DEPARTMENT: Membership  

  

DEADLINE: Friday, March 26, 2010 before 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time         

  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Research a target audience, cost, materials and supplies needed to develop a "Kids Club"
  • Identify sponsorship and naming opportunities
  • Create a plan to incorporate specific elements including benefits of being a "Kids Club" Member, events, and programming associated with the Kids Club
  • Determine eligibility requirements for members and provide instructions on how to join
  • Implement a fulfillment process in order to distribute all materials to “Kids Club” Members
  • Establish an effective communications plan in order to attract the desired audience
  • Present a working project timeline explaining when each step in the process will be completed
  • Sign a Learning Agreement committing to: work a minimum of 20 hours a week, keep a journal of experience, create and present a five minute presentation to the CEO and/or Chief of Staff about experiences and projects completed.
  • Other duties as assigned       

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred candidate will be entering his/her Junior or Senior year of college and will have completed at least two years in a marketing and/or business program. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel Outlook, and PowerPoint) and have exposure to budgeting process. Preferred candidate will have a friendly and outgoing personality with an eye for detail and be able to work independently.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. A typical work week is Monday-Friday. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds Training will be provided for fundraising database as needed.
