The Cincinnati Museum Center adventure can be available 24/7! Grab your sleeping bag and pillow—groups can spend the night in the museum with the popular Cave Overnight and NEW Overnight at The Museum Program. 2009-2010 Overnight Programs
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend the night in the museum? Here’s your chance! Cincinnati Museum Center offers two themed overnight programs. All groups attending Cincinnati Museum Center overnights sleep in classrooms in the Natural History & Science Museum.
All overnight programs begin at 7:00 p.m. (check-in from 6:30-6:50 p.m.) and end at 10:00 a.m. the next morning after a private viewing of an OMNIMAX film. Registration for these overnights is limited to 120 participants on a first-come, first served basis. A light snack is provided in the evening. We also provide a light breakfast of cereal, fruit, juice, and milk the next morning. You will need to provide a minimum of 1 chaperone for each 10 campers. Note: while many scout, church, and school groups attend our overnights, we encourage families to book into public overnights also!!!
Cave Overnight Program
This popular overnight program is designed to provide visitors with an in-depth study of the longest man made caves. All of CMC’s limestone and ice caves will be explored, animals will be introduced, games will be played, and art will be made. You will enjoy the OMNIMAX film, Journey into Amazing Caves, the next morning. The cost is $28 per camper and per chaperone. NEW! Overnight at the Museum Program
This new overnight program is designed to allow guests to enjoy all of the Natural History and Science Museum after hours. Guests will be guided through cave, space, and dinosaur exhibits with the addition of an animal demonstration. The awesome activities will give clues to help decode a mysterious message about Cincinnati Museum Center. You will enjoy a private screening of the OMNIMAX film, Destiny in Space, the next morning. Private OvernightsGroups of 45 to 120 that find our scheduled overnights inconvenient can arrange a private overnight in the Museum of Natural History and Science. Call (513) 287-7021 for information and to start the reservation process. Having several alternate dates in mind will increase the probability that we can host your group. The fees are per person and are the same as for public overnights, $28 per person. A $250 deposit is required to make a reservation and hold the date, with the full balance due 2 weeks before the overnight.
