Liberty on the Border: A Civil War ExhibitLooking for something for the Sesquicentennial? Tour EXTENDED! Please contact us about availability into 2010. This innovative exhibit invites visitors to experience the American Civil War by examining concepts of "borders"—physical, cultural, ideological. By looking at the way borders were drawn and perceived before, during, and after the war, visitors develop a deeper comprehension of the different and sometimes contentious meanings of personal "liberty." Using photographs and documents, touchable replicas and artifacts, backdrops and dioramas, hands-on interactives, audio visual effects, diaries, and music, this thought-provoking exhibit allows visitors to do their own "meaning-making" of the American Civil War. Visit the Liberty on the Border web site. Download a Fact Sheet for this exhibit! Includes Letter of Intent. Download a PDF with a detailed description and images. General Requirements
