Visitor Services Specialist (PT)
DEPARTMENT: Visitor Services
REPORTS TO: Visitor Services Managers
RESPONSIBILITIES: Work one of three positions as assigned by the Manager on Duty.
Ticket Taking – Taking tickets, checking and counting members, assisting visitors with special needs. Providing correct information and directions.
Cashiering – Selling admissions to the OMNIMAX Theater, Museums and Special Exhibits/Programs using a computerized ticketing system and collecting parking fees using a POS register. Collecting visitor information. Balancing cash drawer at the end of each shift.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Candidate must have excellent verbal communications skills, customer service and cashiering experience. Knowledge of ticketing systems is a plus. Qualified applicant must have outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills. Applicant must have the ability to perform well in a high-pressure situation and should be physically able to assist in evacuating visitors in the event of an emergency. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be at least 18 years of age.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Part-time position, approximately 20-30 hours per week. Premium wages paid on most holidays (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).
