Omnimax Theater Projectionist (PT)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Operation and maintenance of the OMNIMAX projection system and all associated sound reproducers. Assist with audio-visual for operations in the theater and special events at Museum Center. Available for sound & projector service calls. Assist floor staff with the directing of entrance and exit traffic within the theater.
QUALIFICATIONS: Two-year technical degree in the electrical, mechanical or audio/visual field strongly preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required. The ability to follow specific instructions with a keen sense of detail. A strong background in all aspects of A-V operations including but not limited to microphones, mic mixers, DVD/DVR players and video projectors. Experience in electronics and schematics or with mechanical/industrial equipment. Prior experience running 35 mm or other film projectors helpful. The ability to communicate well with the public and work in a team oriented environment. Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and have reliable transportation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Part-time position, approximately 10-25 hours per week, occasionally up to 32 hours. Days and hours vary and some holidays required, most hours would be scheduled M - Th between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Fri - Sat between 8a.m. and 10 p.m., Sunday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. hours may be extended to 11 p.m. on occasions.
