Closing June 12: Journey to the South Pacific

Now closed

Imagine an underwater Eden where exotic marine life flourishes. Home to more than 2,000 species, the South Pacific coral reefs have the most diverse marine ecosystem on the planet. And the people living on the surrounding islands have built a way of life that works in harmony with the ocean waters. How do they do it? Discover the answers and let our OMNIMAX® Theater take you there in our newest film, Journey to the South Pacific.

Meet Jawi, a young boy from West Papua who calls this paradise his home. Join him in our OMNIMAX® Theater as he catches a boat trip through the islands and reefs of the South Pacific to teach other children the importance of protecting the ocean and its creatures. As Academy Award-winner Cate Blanchett narrates the story, our five-story domed screen will put you right into the action: You’ll swim with sharks and other marine life, celebrate with local islanders and learn about the science and importance of living in balance with our ocean planet.

An uplifting story of hope and celebration, Journey to the South Pacific highlights the importance of protecting the ocean and its inhabitants—above and below the sea.
