The destruction of Pompeii by Mt. Vesuvius has inspired countless archaeologists, authors, artists and the latest blockbuster exhibit to visit Cincinnati Museum Center, A Day in Pompeii. On June 21, Museum Center showed how Pompeii has inspired talented artists of today in a juried art show. 

The Pompeii Art Show displayed the top 25 works of art representing a variety of media and genres that were submitted and juried by a panel of four local art experts. The show includes a silent auction of all 25 works, with profits split 50/50 between the artists and Museum Center.

Art show guests also chose these three pieces as best in show, and they’re now available in our Pompeii gift shop as limited-edition prints signed and numbered by the artists.
