Cincinnati Museum Center offers free hours from 4 to 8 p.m. November 1
CINCINNATI - As part of our Difference Maker celebration, Cincinnati Museum Center is hosting a special "Free Friday" on November 1. In honor of the Difference Maker nominees, the Duke Energy Children's Museum, Cincinnati History Museum and Museum of Natural History & Science will be open FREE from 4 until 8 p.m.
"We can think of no better way to celebrate our Difference Maker nominees with the community, than to share the joy of learning," said Tony Lawson, director of the Duke Energy Children's Museum. "Our nominees have done inspiring and remarkable work."
Nominees will be recognized at the Difference Maker Awards on November 7. Along with individuals from the community, Cincinnati Museum Center will recognize PNC Grow Up Great as our 2013 Community Honoree. The Museum Center is happy to share in the spirit by providing this free educational opportunity to the local community. With special programming, extended hours and free admission, Free Fridays are perfect for those on a tight budget or who aren't able to visit the museum during regular hours.
What better way to beat the chill of a fall night than spending it inside one of our three museums? Explore 500 feet of dark passages in our limestone cave, take a walk down a 19th century street, climb and crawl through the treetops in our multi-story woods, meet our mummy and more!
Parking is $4 for vehicles arriving after 4:30 p.m. and $6 for vehicles arriving before 4:30 p.m. But Metro is joining the celebration by providing free rides to and from Cincinnati Museum Center on Metro Rt. 1 during extended hours from 4 to 9 p.m. on November 1. For more information on taking advantage of this Metro service, please visit their website here.
Tickets to the OMNIMAX® Theater and Ultimate Dinosaurs: Giants from Gondwana are not included in Free Fridays. Tickets to those attractions may be purchased at the box office, by phone at (513) 287-7001 or at http://www.cincymuseum.org/buy-tickets.
