CINCINNATI- Cincinnati Museum Center and Cincinnati Opera have teamed up to satisfy your craving for all things Egypt.

Whether you’ve seen Cleopatra: The Exhibition and just want more, or if you’re waiting for the perfect opportunity…mark your calendars for these upcoming events! Don’t forget to add on tickets to see Cleopatra and make a day of it.

Thursday, April 28 – Join us in Reakirt Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. for Mozart’s Magical Masterpiece, a free lecture by Thomson Smillie, internationally recognized opera director, writer and educator.

Saturday, April 30 – Catch a sneak-peek of The Magic Flute when Cincinnati Opera brings Opera Redux: The Magic Flute to Cincinnati Museum Center’s Reakirt Auditorium. Tickets for this 50-minute family-friendly performance are $5 and can be purchased at the door, or in advance by calling the Opera’s box office at (513) 241-2742. Performances are at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

About The Magic Flute, coming to Cincinnati Opera July 27, 29 and 31
Steeped in mysticism and magic, Mozart’s majestic and playful 1791 opera follows Prince Tamino on a quest to rescue his beloved, the beautiful princess Pamina. With the wily birdcatcher Papageno by his side, Tamino endures trials of heart and mind to prove his worth and win her hand. Also featured are the gods Isis and Osiris and their magnificent wall of hieroglyphs.
