When will I get my new card? |
You will receive your card in two to three weeks.
Can I visit Museum Center before that? |
Yes. Please call the Membership department at (513) 287-7041. We will verify we have receipt of your information and payment and will leave a temporary card for you at the Box Office member desk. If your membership was purchased on-line, you may present your acknowledgement as verification of membership at the Box Office member desk to acquire a temporary card.
Who will the cards be sent to if this is a gift of membership? |
All cards are sent to the person who paid for the membership, the gift giver.
What should I do if I also have parking included on my membership and have not yet received my card? |
There are two options.
Why can’t I just add on guest/caregiver to my membership? |
The new membership structure accommodates the options that were previously sold as “add-ons” directly into the different levels.
Who may visit on my membership? |
Family membership at Cincinnati Museum Center is intended for two named adults and their children/grandchildren ages 18 or under. Individual membership at Cincinnati Museum Center is intended for one named adult and one guest, or two named people. In attempting to best meet the needs of our constituency, Cincinnati Museum Center offers the following as an alternative. If you have two named adults on your membership and one can’t attend (ex. Mom and Dad are named people, but Dad can’t come) a second person may replace Dad on that visit. Please note – one named adult must accompany this stand-in member. If you wish for a caregiver to bring your children, it will be necessary for you to purchase an Explorer Premium membership or higher.
Why do I have to present an ID with my membership card? |
In an effort to protect your investment in the event that you card has been lost or stolen, we ask that all members present an ID upon entrance to Cincinnati Museum Center. Exceptions are made if your child/children are visiting with a caregiver. In that event, they will need to check in at the main kiosk before entering the museum.
Can my caregiver bring my children without me? |
Explorer Premium and Platinum level memberships include the guest/caregiver option. If you do not have this level of membership, someone else may bring your children; however, they will have to pay for their own museum admissions. If you don’t have this membership option, please have your caregiver stop at the kiosk to have your children’s hands stamped for proof of membership. Your caregiver can purchase his/her own entrance ticket at this time.
Do I receive OMNIMAX passes when I renew my membership? |
Special offers are often issued for members; however, this is not an automatic benefit of renewal.
Do I receive a discount on admission tickets purchased for guests? |
Currently, this benefit is not available.
Can I still upgrade my membership? |
You may upgrade at any time, but your expiration date remains the same and cannot be pro-rated.
How does the guest/caregiver benefit work? |
This individual (guest/caregiver) may visit the museums with either an adult or child member, but not alone. If accompanying a member child 12 years of age or younger the guest or caregiver must be 18 years of age or older.
Is my membership tax deductible? |
Memberships are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Different memberships carry different benefits associated with them, and our office is able to provide you a good faith estimate of those benefits. Ultimately, we advise consulting a tax specialist.
How do I add parking to my membership? |
You can upgrade to the Explorer Plus level or higher to receive the free parking benefit.
Can I purchase a membership with the guest/caregiver and not the parking? |
No. If someone wants a membership with the guest/caregiver option, he/she must purchase at the Premium level or higher.
Is my membership reciprocal with other institutions? |
