Early Childhood Learning Labs

Preschool and kindergarten Learning Labs are specially developed for our youngest students. Introduce students to the museum community with hands-on, exciting experiences that are age appropriate and lots of fun!

Available Tuesday through Friday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.; 30-45 minutes, maximum 25 students.

NEW! Meet Stuffee
Unzip Stuffee, Cincinnati Museum Center’s very own anatomy doll! Students will get to help feed Stuffee and then unzip him to identify a number of his organ and discuss their functions and how our body works.

Block by Block
Learn to build. Build to learn! Use a variety of materials to construct, sort and classify while working cooperatively. Can accommodate a larger group of 50 students.

Let's All Celebrate
Children from around the world love a celebration. Travel the globe to explore a variety of child-centered ceremonies. Though the locations may be different, the fun of a special occasion is still the same. Can accommodate a larger group of 50 students.

My Rainforest Adventure
Take an imaginary tour of the canopy to discover a tropical rainforest and learn about animals and plants that live there.

This Little Dinosaur
Discover a story that is 65 million years in the making. This interactive tale of exploration and discovery includes dinosaur fossils, footprints and other evidence to help tell the story. Can accommodate a larger group of 50 students.

Will it Float?
What keeps a boat afloat? Is water heavy or light? Does air have anything to do with buoyancy? Experiment with the basic principles of water as you test a variety of objects that either sink or float. Can accommodate a larger group of 50 students.
