Cincinnati Heritage Programs
Cincinnati Museum Center Heritage Programs is proud to offer historical, cultural and architectural tours around Greater Cincinnati
For more than 30 years, the docents have enjoyed sharing their passion for history through their walking and motorcoach tours and hundreds of audiovisual presentations. As an outreach association of the Cincinnati History Museum, the all-volunteer Cincinnati Heritage Programs has unlocked doors to privately owned places generally not open to the public. All topics are thoroughly researched for accuracy. The Ambassadors of Cincinnati History strive to inspire people to learn and appreciate Cincinnati, Ohio's history. We offer different types of tours to better suit your individual needs. Check out our options below.
Saturdays: 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Sundays: 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Celebrate Union Terminal’s restoration and learn about the building’s significant history with a 50-minute free Rotunda tour led by our Cincinnati Heritage Program docents. You’ll discover more about the construction, architecture and artwork of one of the world’s finest examples of art deco style. Hear details about the world-famous mosaic tile murals, see newly restored artwork in historic dining rooms and visit today’s Amtrak waiting room and the Rookwood Tea Room.
These tours include walks up and down stairs. They meet in the Rotunda at the starting times and no registration is required. Tour dates and times are subject to change without notice.
Registration: Not required
Each year, we put together a schedule of unique tours that will take visitors all over the tri-state area and to some Queen City sites not usually available for public viewing.
Discover the city's vibrant revitalization and rich culture through our new walking tours. These 2-hour walking tours through our beautiful city, offered April through October, will cover a variety of interests and captivate individuals, families and groups.
Heritage Programs has a variety of historical, architectural and cultural topics that docents can bring to your organization.
Grab your lunch and join us at the Forest Park Senior Center for our popular Brown Bag Lecture Series. With an emphasis on Cincinnati history, these informative, exciting and free lectures will inspire you to be more curious about the community around you.
