If you have little ones, they will love the sand pit area. They can slip off their socks and shoes and dip their toes in the cool sand.  Plus, there are also plenty of trucks and sand toys to keep them entertained!

Kids can bring in natural treasures they may find on a hike and earn points for their “trade.” There are some great things to see inside–live snakes and cockroaches are some of the creatures we’ve encountered. 

I know we’ve covered some miles in the Cave since this is one of our top repeat things to do. Remember that there is also a beginner level where you can experience the Cave in a slightly less thrilling way.

We love checking out the larger than life replicas of a Wooly Mammoth, Saber Tooth Tiger and Giant Sloth. Head through the recreated glacier and check out the life-size wolves, tigers, huge trees and more. 

Make sure you look up since there might be a Pterodactyl flying overhead! At the end, we stop by the Dinosaur table that is filled with Dinosaurs your kids can pick up and play with.
