Didn’t know you could explore a replica of an actual limestone cave in the Museum of Natural History & Science? Well it’s super fun! The cave is actually modeled off of caves found in the tri-state region of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. It covers two levels and 500 feet of darkened nooks and crannies. Don’t be scared—there is a trail for beginners as well as an advanced trail for the adventurous explorer. The beginner's trail is also wheel-chair accessible and provides lookout points to the lower advanced trail. Highlights of the advanced trail include a waterfall, underground stream and a bat chamber! It is home to our own Big Brown Bat colony.
