Giving to the Annual Fund
Want to show how much you love Cincinnati Museum Center? If you didn’t get one of our “I Love My Museum Center” car decals in the mail, you can pick one up at Museum Center between 4 and 6 p.m. on Friday, June 13! Our staff will be waiting in our north parking lot to wash your back windshield and place your decal for you. Then, take a picture of the sticker on your back windshield and post it on Twitter, Instagram or our Facebook page with the hashtag #LoveCincyMuseum to show your support!
"I love my Museum Center because when I play on the street car I can yell 'ALL ABOARD!' - Sam Boron
For one local second grader, Sam Boron, supporting Museum Center is already a lifelong passion! He understands that even giving a little means A LOT!
In 2010, at the age of four, Sam was encouraged to save his allowance and donate a portion to something that inspired him. After hearing a new roof was needed, Sam instantly knew Museum Center was where he wanted to share his allowance - he wanted to protect the artifacts and exhibits he has always enjoyed.
When Sam turned five, he continued to find opportunities to support Museum Center. In lieu of birthday gifts, Sam asked his friends to also donate to Museum Center to spread the word of support. Now at nearly eight, Sam continues the tradition and has become a great example of philanthropy for all and continues to encourage his friends to donate online in honor of his birthday celebration. He hopes that their support will allow museum visitors to have the same experiences he loves – Holiday Junction, Cincinnati in Motion, the Tree House in Duke Energy Children’s Museum – it’s an endless list!
Sam, we are so thankful that in conjunction with all of your activities – soccer, basketball, baseball, Tai Kwan Do and playing the violin – you still take time to be generous and giving. Cincinnati Museum Center is proud of your philanthropic spirit. Your mom is right! “You don’t have to give a lot to make a difference.” You have truly made a difference, Sam, and we hope many will do the same! Can’t wait to see you again soon at YOUR Cincinnati Museum Center! Click here to donate today!
