Interpreters from Cincinnati State’s Interpreter Training Program (ITP) will be partnering with Cincinnati Museum Center for ASL interpreted tours. Please join us if you are Deaf, Hard of Hearing or just interested in learning more sign language!

Upcoming Deaf Days

Rotunda Tour with Cincinnati Heritage Programs

Sunday, June 21 at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.

Discover Union Terminal, Cincinnati’s most iconic National Historic Landmark. During a free, 45-minute walking tour of the 1933 train station, docents partnered with ASL interpreters explain the architecture, construction and art of one of the finest examples of the Art Deco style, including the world famous mosaic murals.

These limited capacity public tours are first come, first served and will depend on availability.

1940s Day

Saturday, August 22 from 1 to 4 p.m.

In partnership with Cincinnati State Interpreter Training Program (ITP), Deaf and Hard of Hearing guests are invited to travel back in time at 1940s Day! Transport yourself to the era of big band music, chrome-fendered cars, pin curls and Zoot suits. 1940s Day is an immersive celebration of the pivotal decade, including the music, fashion, vehicles and people who shaped it.

Included with Museum Admission.

LEGO® Jurassic World: The Exhibition

Sunday, October 4 from 1 to 4 p.m.

In partnership with Cincinnati State Interpreter Training Program (ITP), Deaf and Hard of Hearing guests are invited to explore our featured exhibition and embark on an immersive adventure like no other. Featuring more than 50 massive dinosaurs, iconic scenes and interactive props made from over six million LEGO bricks, LEGO® Jurassic World: The Exhibition invites you to relive the magic of beloved stories and characters from the Jurassic World franchise as you embark on a thrilling journey across Isla Nublar.

Exhibition ticket required.

Deaf Day with Santa

Sunday, December 6 from 2 to 5 p.m.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! In partnership with Cincinnati State Interpreter Training Program (ITP), Deaf and Hard of Hearing guests are invited to visit with Santa in a whole new way. Interpreters (ASeLves) from Cincinnati State’s ITP will be on-site, ensuring that all guests have equitable access to visit with Santa from 2 to 5 p.m. (after feeding his reindeer until the end of the day)!

There is no cost to visit with Santa. Holiday Junction is included with Museum Admission.
