Discover Cincinnati through the eyes of historian Dan Hurley

Discover Cincinnati through the eyes of historian Dan Hurley as he shares stories from his new book, Four Cincinnatis and Other Essays. Drawn from his 45 years as a public historian, the book brings together 88 essays that explore the city’s landmarks, people, challenges and triumphs; from the 1937 flood to the voices of African American leaders who shaped our community. Each guest will receive a copy of the book and hear Hurley reflect on how Cincinnati’s past continues to guide its future.
The evening also includes a special presentation by Chef Rose Che, founder of Che’s Globally Inspired Catering & Events. Born in Cameroon and now rooted in Cincinnati, she will share her personal journey of carrying food traditions across continents and building bridges through cuisine. Guests will enjoy a taste of her cooking, where every bite tells a story of home and belonging.
Together, Hurley and Che offer a program that celebrates both the history of our city and the immigrant experiences that continue to enrich it.
