In this time warp, you’ll go back to the Ohio Valley 19,000 years ago when the last glacier in this area started its retreat north. Become a detective and discover what animals lived in the Greater Cincinnati area and how we can learn about them. Walk through a recreated glacier and experiment with water run-off in the stream table. Explore our Ice Age Trail past where the glacier ends in Ohio, and the pine forests and bogs of Northern Kentucky.
New Exhibit: Climate Change and Us
The University of Cincinnati has teamed up with Cincinnati Museum Center to present a new exhibit, Climate Change and Us, in our Glacial Geology Hall! This new display - opening on Earth Day, April 22, 2014 - highlights scientific research and discoveries about the effects and causes of global climate change. Climate Change and Us uses extinct and endangered specimens from Museum Center collections and video interviews of researchers sharing their work to demonstrate the effects of global climate change.
