Discover authentic and relevant STEM experiences in our free program aimed at children grades 3rd-8th. All participants, regardless of gender, are welcome! Meet women actively working in STEM-related fields, and learn what they do through hands-on presentations and programing!

Preparing for Menstrual Cycle (Grades 3rd–5th)
October 14, 2023 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
As a part of our new traveling exhibition: Girlhood(It’s Complicated), join Girl’s Health Period for a fun day learning about the menstrual cycle. Preparing for the Menstrual Cycle is an introductory and age-appropriate program designed for students in Grades 3 to 5 in order to provide young girls with a solid foundation of knowledge and understanding about the menstrual cycle. In this class, students will complete an interactive activity constructing the menstrual cycle phases.
Menstrual Education and Hygiene 101 (Grades 6th–8th)
October 14, 2023 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
As a part of our new traveling exhibition: Girlhood(It’s Complicated), join Girl’s Health Period for a fun day learning about menstrual education. The Menstrual Education and Hygiene 101 class is designed to provide girls in Grades 6 to 8 with a comprehensive understanding of the menstrual cycle and the importance of menstrual hygiene. In this class, students will complete an interactive activity constructing the menstrual cycle phases. This class aims to empower girls to manage their periods confidently and maintain proper menstrual hygiene.
Build A Bridge with Tia Current (Grades 3rd–5th)
November 11, 2023 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Think like a civil engineer and help build a bridge! Using household items, you will have the opportunity to build a bridge and speak with a current woman student in STEM. You will learn about the everyday life of a STEM student at the University of Cincinnati while competing with other groups to see who can build the strongest bridge.
