OMNIMAX Dinner Date is a cross-country culinary adventure
Lush American flavors inspired by Into America's Wild; tickets available Aug. 12
CINCINNATI - Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is once again supersizing dinner and a movie. OMNIMAX® Dinner Date upgrades a date night classic with a three-course meal – that you help cook – inspired by an OMNIMAX® classic. The upcoming installment takes your tastebuds on a cross-country culinary adventure inspired by Into America’s Wild. Limited tickets go on sale August 12.
From the wilds of Alaska and the lush coastline of Oregon to the ancient canyons of the Southwest and the rolling hills of the Appalachian trails, OMNIMAX® Dinner Date’s September 12 Into America’s Wild meal features ingredients from every corner of the country. Enjoy a meal of bright flavors from the prairies, streams and forests that nurture the wild inside you.
Tickets are $150 per person and include a three-course meal, a custom cocktail, beer and wine and OMNIMAX® screening. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at cincymuseum.org/omnimax-dinner-date.
Starter: Kelp Cured Salmon, Barley Brussel Sprout Salad and Pickled Carrots (DF)
In the spirit of the kelp highway that guided North America’s first humans along the bountiful shores of the Pacific Northwest, your meal begins with Alaskan salmon cured with kombu, a salty member of the kelp family perfect for balancing bright flavors.
Vegetarian option: Kombu Cured Beets
Main Course: Semolina Gnocchi with Turkey and Mushroom Ragu, Walnut Gremolata and Parmigiano Reggiano
Inspired by the fungal network that connects the nation’s forests, your main course connects uniquely native ingredients by pairing American turkey with local Shroomery mushrooms and decadent corn-based gnocchi. Fresh walnut gremolata and rich parmigiano Reggiano complete a sumptuous dish.
Vegetarian option: Mushroom Ragu
Dessert: Orange Pumpkin Spice Cake with Cranberry Cream Cheese Frosting (V)
Dessert is a comforting end to a fantastic meal. Inspired by the bountiful pumpkin season, amp up a fall favorite with bright oranges and a cream cheese frosting infused with tart cranberry puree.
Inspired by some of the museum’s favorite giant screen films, OMNIMAX® Dinner Date curates a themed three-course dinner and shows you the techniques to pull it all together. With over 20 OMNIMAX® films to choose from, CMC’s food service partners the SSA Group can find menu inspiration to create a seafood feast, dinner fit for royalty and bites that are out of this world.
